The Bolger Medical Arts Building and
Okonite Medical Research Laboratories
On June 17, 2013, The Valley Hospital and The Valley Hospital Foundation proudly dedicated The Bolger Medical Arts Building and Okonite Medical Research Laboratories at our new location in Paramus at 970 Linwood Avenue West.
When interior and exterior renovations are complete (click here to see renovation designs), the location will be the new home to Valley’s Center for Cancer Research and Genomic Medicine. The facility will contain new laboratories to support our clinical and translational research program, including the debut of a research laboratory for the study of cardiac disease.
The Okonite Laboratories will be the new home for Valley’s biorespository, which was one of the first biorepositories to be established in New Jersey. In addition, Valley’s Arrhythmia Institute will be located at the Bolger Medical Arts Building as well as other services to be announced at a later date.
Philanthropist and long-time Valley supporter David F. Bolger and the Bolger Foundation assisted in the purchase of the building with a donation of $5 million. The Okonite Company of Ramsey, through its CEO Victor Viggiano, committed $5 million to support biomedical research.
The Valley Hospital Foundation is indebted to these generous supporters for helping us to build what will be a premier medical research facility.
