The Valley Hospital Auxiliary Hosts 14th Annual Holiday Luncheon & Boutique at Ridgewood Country Club
Ridgewood, NJ December 7, 2016 At the Ridgewood Country Club on Tuesday, December 6th, the Saddle River Branch of The Valley Hospital Auxiliary hosted its 14th annual Holiday Luncheon and Boutique. Over 200 ladies participated is this holiday event, enjoyed buffet lunch and browsed the merchandise from one-of-a-kind boutiques and shops.
While guests dine in the main ballroom, Broadway actress and pop singer Allison Trujillo Strong, known for her work in the musicals Bye Bye Birdie and Mamma Mia!, performed an eclectic ensemble of holiday and other songs.
Vendors hailed from as far as Dallas and Palm Beach for the festive event, while other long-term, local supporters of Valley, like Neiman Marcus and Tiffany and Co., showcased a sampling of goods to this exclusive audience.
Last year, the Valley Hospital Auxiliary pledged $1.5 million towards Valley Medical Group’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program and Valley Home Care’s endowment for the pediatric Butterflies program which is an in-home, pediatric palliative and hospice care program for seriously ill children. Proceeds from the ticket sales, the silent auction, and a portion of the vendor’s profits are being designated to The Valley Hospital Auxiliary, helping them get even closer to this ambitious goal.
As co-chairs of the Saddle River Branch of The Valley Hospital Auxiliary, Nancy Bush and Maria Harper were instrumental in arranging the vendors, the venue and attendees. Nancy Bush expressed sincere thanks towards the guests for their participation in the event, which helps them get even closer towards the extraordinary pledge goal.
The threefold mission of The Valley Hospital Auxiliary is to serve as community liaison for the hospital, to raise funds, and to assist the hospital through a variety of volunteer services.
