Who We Are

Women For Health welcome Joan Lunden

On May 13, 2015, The Valley Hospital Foundation celebrated Women For Health’s fifth anniversary during a beautiful luncheon at the Rockleigh Country Club with almost 500 women in attendance.  Guest speakers included Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi; Freeholder Tracy Zur; and our special guest Joan Lunden, award-winning journalist, bestselling author, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and former host of Good Morning America.

Ms. Lunden’s inspirational speech, A Bend in the Road is not the End of the Road, shared seven key lessons she has acquired during her life and career.  Also speaking at the luncheon were Julie Epstein and Danielle Gaglioti, Women For Health Co-chairs and The Valley Hospital Foundation Trustees; and Audrey Meyers, President and CEO of The Valley Hospital and Valley Health System, who shared excerpts of a congratulatory letter received from New Jersey Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg.  [Click here to see more photographs from the luncheon.]

Collectively, the Women For Health members have donated a total of $300,000 to Valley during its first four years.  Their donations have made possible the purchase of two Lucas Chest Compression Systems for Valley’s Mobile Intensive Care Unit vehicles and SimMan, a robotic training mannequin for Valley’s Simulation Lab; as well as supported Valley’s Thrive! and Palliative care programs.  If you would like more information about Women For Health or are interested in becoming a member, please click here.
