Young Professionals Network Supports Valley's NICU

Please join us in our fundraising efforts to benefit the Family Support Program in The Valley Hospital's Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), which cares for Valley's smallest and most vulnerable infants.
For families of infants in the NICU, the post-birth family experience is unique: life-saving protocols necessarily separate mothers from their vulnerable babies; patients face a variety of health challenges; natural instincts are disrupted; and stress levels are heightened. The goal of the Family Support Program, led by a dedicated Family Support specialist certified in perinatal mental health, is to provide a normal experience in an abnormal environment.
While the infant is cared for by a dedicated team of clinical professionals, parents and families receive much-needed emotional support and guidance through what can be an unexpected, lengthy, and challenging hospital experience, offering services including:
- Daily emotional support and advice to families
- Parent and family education
- Celebrations of milestones and holidays for patients and siblings
- Connections to services and resources
- Bereavement support services
Your support makes a tremendous difference for the infants and families who rely on Valley's NICU for care. Thank you for your generosity.
