After nearly a decade of planning and construction, The Valley Hospital opened its doors in Paramus in April 2024, ushering in a new era in healthcare for our region.
This past year has been one of great change for Valley Health System. Following The Valley Hospital’s historic move from Ridgewood to Paramus in 2024, we celebrated our first full year in our new home – and what a year it was!
In 2025, Valley saw nearly 32,000 inpatient hospital admissions, cared for more than 81,000 emergency department visits, and welcomed our newest community members into the world with a record-breaking 4,459 births. We expanded our offerings on our Paramus campus, bringing additional services to the hospital, as well as to our medical arts facilities. We also opened a new campus in Montvale at 400 Market Street. The first phase is a comprehensive Musculoskeletal Center, bringing specialty services, outpatient rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging close to home for people in the area.
We also repurposed our Ridgewood campus into a thriving outpatient destination, expanding Valley’s total ambulatory footprint to serve our community’s needs.
We invested in training future Valley doctors, establishing the Office of Academic Affairs to house Valley’s Graduate Medical Education programs. In 2025, Valley welcomed its first class of surgical residents, as well as its second class of internal medicine and OB/GYN residents. We matched fully in all three residencies and were approved for fellowships in Cardiology, Hematology-Oncology, and Palliative Care –with more in the works – in collaboration with Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine.
The philanthropic support of our community has been tremendous and has allowed Valley to grow, thrive, and innovate to meet the needs of our region. Your generosity has made a difference for each and every patient who walks through our doors.
While Valley Health System looks quite different today than it did decades ago, what remains the same is the dedication to providing the expert, compassionate care our patients expect and deserve.
